$15* Dish Network Offer

I’m a fan of Dish Network as I’ve stated in a couple of blog entries.  Having worked with DirecTV’s service/support as an installer, I can say I’ve had much better service from Dish Network, and the price points are better at Dish in my opinion.  Due to my high opinion of Dish, I encourage people to check into Dish Network and switch from other TV providers if they also think it is a good deal.  Dish network offers a referral program called Club Dish where a Dish subscriber can refer up to 5 people per calendar year, and they get $50 per referral ($5 per month for 10 months,) for a maximum of $250 per year.  It is an awesome deal all the way around, you get a discount when signing up, and I get a kickback for referring you.

The person signing up as a referral gets some special benefits on top of the normal new-subscriber deals.  As of 3/9/09, some of those perks (according to the Dish Network website) are:

• Free Activation ($99 value)
• $30 credit on your first bill
• Discounted package price for 6 months (you can get as low as $9.99 during the promotion period!)
• 12 months of Cinemax for a penny!

What I am going to do is take it one step further, and offer up to $15* as an additional bonus for signing up!  Here is how it will work.

1. Contact me by leaving a comment on this page.  Make sure you use a valid e-mail address (will not be shared with others!) so that I can send you a referral code.
2. Once you receive your code, call Dish Network.  They will explain all of the current perks and terms at that point.  If you’re happy with what they say, go ahead and schedule an installation.
3. Once installed and activated, let me know and I’ll start watching the referral status for your code on Dish’s website.
4. As soon as the status page shows the code as being redeemed (can take up to 60 days from what I’ve seen) I’ll send over $5 via PayPal (or a $5 Amazon gift certificate if you prefer.)  Note this only applies to the first 5 activations per year using my referral codes.  I will give out as many codes as requested, however only the first 5 to show activation on Dish’s page will qualify for my $5 bonus.  I will update this page to show once all 5 are activated.
5. If all 5 referrals are met during the year (so I get the full benefit from Dish Network) I’ll use a random number generator and pick one of the 5 referrals for an additional $10 bonus to be given using the same payment method as the original $5 bonus.

I know some people will complain that I am only offering $5 out of the $50 referral I get.  I can understand that point, however it is 10% of what I am getting (15% if all 5 referrals are met.)  Also keep in mind I am offering a bonus above and beyond the already good deal you can get from any other Dish subscriber purely as a means of saying that if you’re going to sign up anyway, help me out in the process and I’ll help you out a little too.
