I read an article on the Huffington Post where a small town mayor is being raked through the coals over this photoshopped picture he forwarded out depicting the front lawn of the Whitehouse replaced with rows of growing watermelons. The mayor in question claims he didn’t understand the racial reference and did not intend to [...]

Overall I’m doing well and have almost made it through February and still working on my goals. Since most goals/resolutions are forgotten by Valentine’s Day, the fact that I am still working toward them even if I’m not fully meeting some of them is an accomplishment in itself.

I’m feeling very good about my progress this week. I was home sick yesterday so I ate more sodium (threw off my weight) and watched more TV than normal, but that is an exception, not the rule. Overall I did well if yesterday is factored out.

I’ve been given a supply of MonaVie’s acai berry drink to try out. I’m going to be making a few posts about my thoughts and perceived effectiveness of the product as my trial continues. My reviews are 100% objective; I do not sell MonaVie, and MonaVie has no influence over my writings about the product. [...]

Its almost that time of year again. Boise Code Camp! Always a good time, and a great learning experience. I’ve met many new friends there, and I’ve also run into friends I haven’t seen in a while. This year it falls on Saturday, March 28th, and will be held at Boise State University. This is [...]

It was all over the news Tuesday that Tom Daschle had announced he “neglected” to pay nearly $150K in Federal income taxes, but he was sorry. He was still in the running for Health and Human Services Secretary, and still had the support of our new president, Barack Obama. Yesterday he announced he is bowing [...]

Where did January go? It seems like it was only yesterday that I was mulling over the goals I wanted to set, and now I’ve made it almost 10% through the year and doing well with my goals. Don’t most goals get dropped sometime in February? I’m not going to be that statistic this year.

There has been quite a bit of press lately about using video games in order to exercise, or at least increase your activity level a little. My family has been jumping on that bandwagon lately. A couple of years back I picked up Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 4 for my original Xbox. Using my Bodybugg [...]
